For You from CJ Carmichael | USA Today Bestselling Author

Dear Readers

Ten years ago I hosted three author friends at our Montana cottage on Flathead Lake. We soaked in the views and the sun, had plotting sessions around the dining room table, and talked late into the evenings. I look back on that week with nostalgic pride and love, because it was during that week that the fictional town of Marietta, Montana was created, along with the Copper Mountain Rodeo and my own Carrigans of the Circle C series beginning with Promise Me, Cowboy.

This September I’ll be revisiting the Copper Mountain Rodeo (along with Jane Porter, Megan Crane and Sinclair Jayne) with the publication of Promise Me Please, Cowboy. I love this story (even more than the original, to be honest) and I can’t wait to share with all of my readers. That day is still months away, but you can pre-order your e-book copy now.

Want a taste of what’s to come?

I’m excited to bring you a sneak peek with this excerpt:

Chet Hardwick gazed dubiously at the exterior of the Bramble House B & B. The yard was unkempt, with an overgrown lawn, shaggy shrubbery and flower beds taken over by weeds. The house itself, a three-story brick Victorian, was in good shape though. It looked like the sort of place that would have bouquets of wildflowers in every room, tea and cookies in the parlor, and expensive chocolates on the plumped-up pillows at night. It was probably run by an older couple who would ask too many questions, or worse, talk incessantly about their grandchildren. The breakfast would be a sit-down affair forcing him to mingle with a bunch of strangers before his first cup of coffee, and to eat with his elbows off the table.

Stay at the Bramble House B & B? He’d rather sleep in the barn with his horses, thank you very much.
