Dear friends and readers,
This September I’m packing in all the summer outdoor activities I can. Cycling the beautiful bike paths around Calgary and hitting my favorite Rocky Mountain hikes in Banff, Yoho and Kananaskis. It’s all about filling my lungs with clean (finally smoke-free) air and chronicling the changing colors of the landscape as it shifts from green to gold.
I haven’t yet had a pumpkin-spiced latte, but I have indulged in several pumpkin-spiced cream puffs (divine!). I’ve gotten back into making soups and stews, including one of my favorite autumn soups: butternut squash. Other autumn treats I look forward to are jumping into piles of leaves with my grandson, hitting the farmers’ markets for pumpkins and apples, and pulling out my favorite cozy sweaters.
What are your favorite fall activities? That’s the question I ask on my website contest this month. So please take the time to enter for your chance to win an autographed set of my Shannon Sisters trilogy.
This is also the month Letters From Grace hits the virtual bookstores. Find out what happens when our hero’s daughter discovers a stash of love letters from her widowed father’s high school sweetheart. E-books are available now, the paperback version will be here soon.
Publishers Weekly says: “Carmichael creates a robust cast that’s easy to imagine as neighbors and plots them into eminently believable situations… This adorable small-town romance will appeal to readers who enjoy their romance on the wholesome side.”
Happy reading my friends, stay safe, be happy.
